To-day going for my walk from the garage I saw this familiar face coming towards me, and you got it, it was Joe.
He had just left the office of Rugby League with a large manuscrilpt, and spoke very enthusiastically about his AMOS (Athlete Management Organisational System) which incidentally he has been working on for 16 years.
He proudly says David Palmer, John White and Shaun Moxham (Antwerp), our home grown bunch, are heavily involved in its implementation to a range of team sports throughout the world. Incidentally, John White now lives in the US not far from Philadephia.
Following is an extract from an interview with Joe in July 2004:-
"So, is it possible to summarise
what you had learnt so far?
Mm, not that easy. To start with, there are only four reasons why Athletes fail to achieve their full potential, whatever that may be. STUDY THIS CAREFULLY young lady:
1. They do not have the Resources.
2. They don't know what to do.
3.They don't know how to do it.
4. They don't want to do it.
THEY DON’T WANT TO DO IT! They all say that they do but they don't. There are NO other reasons for their failure.
I now had the all important Resources, knew what to do, knew how to do it, and could tell from the Bell Graph AND the psychological profiling tests whether they were going to succeed."

I told you that I had run into Joe Shaw, and he promised to send me some info oin his further work with athletes and here is his description of what is happening at present:-
"I have now completed 16 Books on Sport each one in excess of 200 pages on each sport that form the basis of a breakthrough in Coaching and I am adopting them for overseas sports .The reason is that the A.S.C and Queensland Academy of Sports would not even open the first page of these programs .Queensland Golf and Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club will be the first in the world to implement these programs within weeks now , and we are using them as a test case for inclusion overseas in May of this year .I will then be based in Antwerp for 4 months to implement them in Europe and the U.K. our opposition

A.M.O.S is the Athlete Management Optimisation Solution that will be the most radical Coaching system in the world .I cannot explain it in an Email but it OPTIMISES the Coaching of every individual athlete who then takes RESPONSIBILITY for his / her own success .HOW ? The program is placed on a Computer with 35 different measurements and evaluation that are scored by the athlete .Then the Coach does his scores .Agreement is reached and short , medium and long term goals are set , with Self Contracts then completed by the athletes .Each athlete has a secret password that only he/ she and the Head Coach can access .The Coach can then access every athlete at the click of the mouse .
The fifty Mental programs that I have designed on www.squashsite.co.uk are added and changed continuously as the score target is achieved .NOTE that the athlete chooses who within the team Coaches him/ her in every discipline in that sport . He/ She has control over that selection and is therefore RESPONSIBLE for the improvement in an ongoing basis . The reason is that in every team at least 40% of the players are not RECEPTIVE to the Coach and therefore it is impossible for them to learn .Another reason is that like the A.I.S , and each State Institute the Coaches are not trained in upmarket techniques so they still employ obsolete programs .
Remember that both David Palmer AND Johnny White had their A.I.S scholarships cancelled and they were informed that they would never make the top 50 in Squash !!!!!!!! TRUE and all on record !!!!!!!!! Look at their results on these programs .
You will only fail for 4 reasons
You don't have the Resources . ( A.M.O.S. is the only sports program in the world that has all of the Resources for Psychological , Physiological ,Tactical and Technical training .No other program has them )
You don't know what to do . ( How can you when you do not have the Resources , and are banned from obtaining them or reading about them )
You don't know what to do . ( Again you are prevented from being taught )
You don't want to do it . ( Here we have 98% of athletes who do not want to pay the price that is required to achieve their full potential )
If you train in the PAST you will fail , and Australian in general are training using past methods , not A.M.O.S systems which they can adopt
If you train in the PRESENT you will only be competitive . Test out that statement
If you train in the FUTURE as they will in 10 years time you will be successful .
Not one Australian Coaching program covers the Mental Requirements of the Sport .When a problem occurs they send the Athlete to a Sports Psychologist to recover .A.M.O.S teaches the Mental Requirements from day one . Prevention is better than cure .
Measurement and Evaluation programs are not available at the click of a Mouse other than in A.M.O.S programs .The Books of 200 pages about the Sport are purely Reference Libraries when required . An important factor is that when we give a score we give the reasons WHY the athlete only received a low score , and numerous suggestions as to the SOLUTIONS that he / she may choose . No other program in the world of Sport does that either .
Finally check out www.colorquiz.co and do the 5 minute fun Test .A.M.O.S users the full Luscher Color Test
I will be based in Antwerp from 1st May for 4 months teaching Shawn Moxham these programs and introducing them to Soccer at $5,000.00 per player per year .Shaun speaks fluent German and Dutch and will control this area . I have Chinese friends in Hong Kong who will introduce them in China , and Johnny White has the contacts to put in Baseball , Basketball , Racketball and Ice Hockey into the U.S.
The Boys from Brasil whom I coached in Brasil will do South America .
Australia will not even look at these programs ..Don't blame me I tried to get them to look at it .
How did you go on the Color Quiz ?"
This sounds very exciting for Joe after working on his program for 16 years.

He remains very enthusiastic about his squash program and is right up to date with all the top world ranked players.
It has been a long haul, about 20 years now of development, and he reckons squash throughout the world is excited about his training methods.
Shawn Moxham and Johnny White seem to be the key overseas contacts for this program, AMOS.
The tougher the better in this game.
Here is an interesting read.
