ok, if i'm playing squash in the morning i wake up early and have whole grain toast with peanut butter, a small salad and a banana. then i take some iron and vitamin b complex. right before i get to the club, i might stop off at a coffe shop for a shot of espresso. during squash i have a sports drink with some amino acids to keep hydrated. otherwise, maybe you need to work on your cardio. calcualte your cadio heart rate and hit the stationary bike. it totally works.

We do have tips on match preparation and pre game meal. Nothing worse than carrying around your tummy full of undigested food, and then it gets hot, grrrr! You need your energy in your muscles not in your gut at this time.

you could try getting some energy into your body before playing like eating a bannana or maybe a chocolate bar for a quick fix as you could be feeling like that because you have not got enough food that creates the energy in your system

I am sure everyone has a theory about what is best for them. We know there is good fuel and bad fuel. The most efficient for athletes is to use, eg rice, pasta as a carbo energy store, consumed hours before performance, and to avoid fuel like, eg fat (choclate) and sugar (fizzy drinks). There is food for thought at this link http://www.examiner.com/article/sports-drinks-vs-energy-drinks-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly
Remember if we input more fuel than we need it will end up on our hips!
