"Dual Commonwealth Games squash representative Amelia Pittock will take a break from the game while she has her first baby.
Pittock and partner Rod Martin, a former world champion and a member of the Squash Australia Hall of Fame, are expecting their first child in July.
The 27-year-old Pittock says she has gone into semi-retirement and will return to the court as soon as possible.
Pittock, from Dromana on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, played for Australia at the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games.
She also played for Australia at three Women’s World Teams Championships, and was a member of the team that won the title in 2004. She has won five titles on the Women’s International Squash Players’ Association tour and was Australian junior champion in 2002."
Congrats to Rod and Amelia and we look forward to another squash player coming into the world.
