I have not heard this question asked for a long time especially as more equality in women has been accepted in our society.
There is no need to worry about girls not being fertile. Sport will not take their ovaries away or other womanly organs. In fact, in my opinion, sport can only enhance a woman's life. Where sport becomes obsessive due to other psychological conditions that is more likely, I believe, to lead to adverse effects on health. This article explains more technical issues associated with the bodies function.
In the main I have been told it is the balance of hormones, especially testesterone that effects the body shape with constant and continuous exercise. Women, in the main, produce small amounts of testesterone which is why they will never become as bulky with muscles popping up everywhere or become as strong as men.
In my view, rear a fit, active, healthy person and you have done your role as a parent. If you rear a couch potato that will be more detrimental to motherhood and health than sport.
