Creating angle on serve

I've been playing for about 10 months now.... so far from being an expert not a bigginer niether.....
One thing I consider sits far back from the rest of my game is the serve.....I can't create the angle that hits the ball about the center of the front wall, and then hits the side wall......I see how players do this "effortless" but for me it's hard.... sometimes I get it but not on a regular basis, so I have to go with the hard overhead with very limited control also, any tips would be appreciated, maybe it's the stance, point of contact, height of hitiing the ball, the head of racket, I don't know.............
