Another win by a british player, another round of deafening silence from the BBC, given the state of sport over here you would think they would like having something to celebrate

Matthews and Willstrop played in the Swedish Open and they will meet again in this ISS Canary Wharf Classic. It will be interesting if the tables will turn. Very close competition in these tournaments.

arthur, good point. You know the more you "play up" and be dumb the more attention you get from the media. Squash players are too nice, they don't get noticed enough to make the headlines. Maybe the marketing of the sport has to change and focus on weight for height ratio, and have the squash "biggest loser" type contest as a TV show; tab players resting pulse for age, and advertise the number of pills they take for age, put the masters players on a higher pedestal for healthcare in the National Health system of the country, test mobility and strength of aged players and publicise it, note their recovery time from illness and operations, etc and I am confident squash players in the main would outstrip the majority.
Squash offers great release, makes people more alert, improves mobility with age, etc etc - just take a look a some of our legends, and no so legends.
