Hi all, I was wondering what might be more beneficial for me to train myself with, using the green one dot ball or the double yellow dot ball i'm already used to. I live in Bogotá, this city is located at a 2,600 meters above sea level. I've always used the double yellow dot ball, but yesterday I used a single dot green ball - wich is designed for altitude - and I discovered that I had to be much more tactical with it, get to the ball at the right place, right time and hit it with the right power...the double yellow dot ball was much more forgiving on that aspect, even if its supposed to be the slowest ball, to me at least the green ball seemed slower and harder to keep warm. I'm thinking on buying a green dot ball because overall it makes me play a more accurate and correct game, but my main concern is that after getting used to the green dot, the double yellow one might be too fast for me and that might even become a problem afterwards...what would you recomend?

cheers

Juan

The temperature is probably the biggest factor when using a squash ball, apart from,eg the length of the rallies, the speed of the rallies, and the outside temperature/wind/rain.

Unless you are training for a tournament or some official competition I would recommend using the ball that suits the climate and of course gives the best game for you and your opponent.  If the green dot is the one used in those zones I would say go for that.
