Hi! This is my first question post here. I have just bought a pair of Adidas Stabil 3. They offer a great lateral support, but perhaps too much for me. Actually, my problem is that the top of their lateral sides is too rigid and it hurts my ankle bone. Does someone have a trick to "tenderize" it?
Thanks!

If I am understanding this correctly, It seems that if you lifted your heel a little higher you would avoid the friction with the edge of the shoe? What you could try, eg a thicker innersole, a heel wedge, or just put a padding under the existing innersole for an experiment to see if that improves things.
