I have been using Dunlop Hotmelt Pro (old one) and I am not too sure if this is contributing to my tennis elbow problem. Has anybody faced any issues with this racket - particularly backhand volleys? Should I use a vibration dampener or change the racket?  What type of racket is good for tennis elbows

Your help will be appreciated.

Check out the keywords in the "Relevant Content" tab on the lefthand column (when logged in) as there has been discussions on tennis elbow previously in the forum.  After scanning those posts let us know what you think is the problem?

Don't keep doing what you are doing if the elbow is sore as it may become chronic and that could stick with you for a long time and always flare up at the most unexpected times.

Could this have any relevance to your job too, eg carpenter,  to cause RSI?

About the racket - if it is old the strings are probably doughy.  I would give that a miss too for now and look at trying out a good quality, well strung racket (borrow one for a trial game or ask for a demo model) to see how that goes.  Let it settle down first though as anything just now will probably aggravate your elbow. An Ice Pack would be helpful to reduce any swelling after play/work.

If still in doubt the Sports Physio will be a good help.
