By keeping your mind on the task, and the task process, you will focus better, and have deeper concentration, eg hit and run; hit the ball away from the opponent; aim higher on the front wall.
These thoughts will prevent negative feedback from dominating your thoughts, eg I'm playing badly; there is another mistake.
