- Work out what you want to achieve.
- Establish your front wall targets thru trial and error.
- Practice, Practice Practice preferably with a partner who can give you feedabck and help keep the ball warm. (serving with a hot or a cold ball is very different.)

Hello menks, thanks for your query.
To take a look around the site, hold the cursor on LIBRARY(positioned in the bar at the top of the Home Page), click on Strokes & Movement, then click on the Tab "Serve Return" and there are tips and diagrams for you to follow. If you have a problem after giving these tips a try please let us know. Good luck.

The best return will keep opponent off balance. Then you have two options - volley crosscourt (hit high on the front wall), or very tight straight-drive. But in this case you might cause "let" if you won't let him/her hit the ball. Last thing is the way how do you "wait" for the serve. You have to watch the ball all the time, facing the front wall, standing one step behind the corner of the serving box.
If you are always "late" to the ball, try to bounce on your toes all the time, then it's much easier to catch the ball. I hope it will help. Practice, practice, practice. With a coach for 3-5 hours maybe.
