Ok folks, I'm a pretty serious player and I've been searching the web to try and find a decent programme or structure to follow in order for me to improve. Now, I can't really find this and I don't think it's been covered in this site with great detail, but what do you think are essential in improving your game? In general I mean.
There's all these options to consider:
- Weight training - according to a reliable expert, the best way to increase strength is to do back and abs one day, shoulders and triceps on another, and legs on the other to isolate all the muscles so they are not overworked
- Actually playing squash - I've been told you need to have a solo practice, play a stronger opponent and play a weaker opponent, all regularly, in order to improve
- Squash - if you are part of a club, you might train once or twice a week, not even counting private lessons, ad well as playing a match once a week
- Cardio - jogging, sprinting, cycling, you know the score.
Now, it's physically impossible to fit all of these into a week, so I was just hoping to see what you all recommend is the best way to improve, what are the most important ones above, and what are not needed? share your own training regimes with us, it would be very much appreciated!

Here is a starting point to get an idea of how to plan what you are doing.
Our Skill Builder self improvement stuff is coming and meantime it will be necessary to put your own training together.
The idea is to bring all aspects forward at the same time making sure you get a good balance between skills, tactics, mental, physical abilities.

also, you will be able to discuss technical stuff in more detail with a library discussion feature on all library pages.
obviously these feature will only be available to GOLD members.
