Natalie and Rachael Grinham have given Australia another World Women's Team Title in defeating the England pair of Linda Elriani and Cassie Jackman 2 Nil in the Final. The third rubber was not played. The win by the sisters from Toowoomba in Australia meant that Australia did not concede a rubber in the event.
Earlier Michelle Martin, the team coach and former world champion, had said that her main job was to reinforce the belief that the team was good enough to take the title they conceded to England in 2000 but regained in 2002.
