New CEO commences.
Squash Australia’s new CEO, Gary O’Donnell commenced with the organisation today, at its Brisbane office.
O’Donnell comes to the organisation with an extensive background in sport administration, including roles at state and national levels with Australian Volleyball, event experience through both the Sydney Olympic and Brisbane Goodwill Games and more recently with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority.
In taking over the reigns from his predecessor Norman Fry, O’Donnell stated, “I am excited by the opportunity to work with Squash, it is a great sport with a strong history in Australia of both participation and performance. I have been very impressed with the outcomes achieved by the administration and the performance sectors of the sport.”
Squash Australia President John Holland welcomed O’Donnell into the position, “The Board is pleased to have recruited Gary into the role to follow on the great work Norman has undertaken for the sport.”
Gary can be contacted through the National Office on 07 33673200"

Good luck to him - it will take six months before we can judge what the outcomes will be I suppose.

Yes needs time to make his stamp.
I guess the one thing I would encourage is much better connection between SA and us the "punters", as I have said numerous times Squash Australia comes across as aloof.
1. Post up an official feedback survey on the SA website
2. Get out to the clubs in person and speak to us the week in week out players who are the foundations of the sport.
3. Post here would be a good start
Can you try to encourage SA to post under say "Squash Australia Rep" or something similar so we can feel THERE IS a real conduit available, internet IS the future form of communication so the sooner they embrace it and us through this medium the better.
Come on Gary, give it a go, take a risk.............
